Species Information

There is nothing quite like hearing the echo of a bull elk bugle through a mountain valley on a crisp fall morning. These majestic monarchs are a sight to behold in their natural Rocky Mountain habitat. As a migratory species, elk herds may range over hundreds of square miles. This can be a challenge for wildlife management, but with stewardship over more than 1.2 million acres of elk habitat the R & K Hunting Company has a distinct advantage. Several of our ranches exceed 120,000 acres providing both summer and winter range for large elk herds.

This gives R & K Hunting Company the opportunity to carefully assess herd numbers, avoid excessive harvests, and allow for the natural maturation of trophy bulls in large numbers. Check out our success stories and exciting scout footage from the 06/07 season and look forward to selective scouting/hunting footage updates throughout the year. (Catch all the best hunts with R & K Western Hunting Adventures; our bi-monthly DVD series. “It’s just like being there!”)

A dedication to providing abundant natural habitat, healthy game, and fair chase hunting defines our philosophy and distinguishes R & K Hunting Company from all the rest. Call us early for pricing and availability These spectacular hunts book up fast.
