The R & K Hunting Company has a number of hunting lodges and camps to host hunting guests along with their hunting guides. Consisting of five separate private ranches, each from 8,000 to 25,000 acres, the Morgan Camp sits in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains surrounded by alfalfa fields, sagebrush, and cedar. At higher elevations, there are aspens and pines located in steep, demanding terrain. Streams and ponds are numerous in this beautiful mountain location and the Weber River, known as a fly-fishing destination, runs through parts of it.
The camp itself has several buildings including the Whittier Recreation Center, which is the main facility and contains the kitchen, three bathrooms with six showers, and a great room complete with TV, tables, and couches. There are two bedrooms and one bath on the upper floor. The outbuildings are small heated cabins with two bunks each that lie under the shade of beautiful cottonwood trees. Outside of the main building are a pavilion, lawn area, open pit campfire, barbeque grill and amazing vistas of the surrounding mountains.
Rifle hunting at the Morgan Ranch includes two separate but overlapping hunting cycles. From September 1 through the end of October, high-country trophy velvet mule deer, elk and Shiras moose hunts are in full swing on two of the ranches. September 11 through November 10, hunting on the three remaining ranches ensues which runs into the beginning of the mule deer rut hunt.
Your outfitters at The R & K Hunting Company can individualize your hunting experience at the Morgan Camp from hunts for those with special needs or minimal foot travel to rigorous vertical hunts in steep terrain. One of the best features of this camp is that there is no need to draw out tags and risk missing the hunt. Our experts obtain your tag for you. The cost of tags, license and taxes are not included in the price but lodging, meals, on-mountain transportation, and Salt Lake International Airport pick-up and return is included. We offer the most affordable tags in the Western United States. Please contact us for pricing information.
For those driving to the Morgan Camp, you will take I-15 to North to Weber Canyon. Be sure to call us full directions.
